Established in Drummondville in 1973 with
the purchase of the assets of another company, GARRON INDUSTRIES INC
became the property of three partners, Mr. Real A. Parent was one of
them. |

In
1975, begins the company, on a small-scale, by making garden furnitures,
tables and benches, in wood and in steel.
In
1980, the increase of customers and manufactured products
made it necessary for the company to change its name.
INDUSTRIE
VERANDA
INC was then selected because the name would reflect more the
products manufactured by the company
VERANDA
was producing modern tubular indoor furnitures such as oscillatory
chairs on sealed bearings, rocking chairs, kitchen and/or dining
room tables, and a complete variety of garden
swings on wheels, oscillatory benches and chairs, sheds with
concrete walls.
The
company became a family business, owned by Réal A. Parent,
with his wife and his daughters, Marie-Josée and Sophie.

In
December 1991, VERANDA acquires another company which was producing « GAZEBO;
the arrival of this new product allowed VERANDA to complete its
line of garden furniture. |

In
September 1992, VERANDA changes its trade name for VERANDA JARDIN
R.P. INC. A new logo is then
designed to better characterize the new company’s image and
its new products.
In autumn 1999, a 6th expansion (of 20 000 square feet) has been done,
bringing its installations at 75 000 square feet plus a warehouse of
8 000 square feet.

A continuous
growth has increased to nearly three hundred (300) the distribution
centers located all over Canada and in many states of United States.
In 2007, The company was transfered to the daughter's founding president and his son-in-law.
The
company continues to invest time and money towards the improvement
and development of new products. Véranda always take into
consideration the suggestions of its sales representatives and the
needs of its clients.

MULTI-CANEVAS(1997)
inc. a division of Veranda, directed by the daughter of M.
Parent, this company does all the sewing and fabrication that is
related to fabric such as cushions, canvas and roof tops for swing
and gazebos. |

MULTI-FINIS
inc., is another division of VERANDA, held by the son-in-law of
Mr Parent, Christian Beaulieu and François Bellavance, director
of production. The factory takes care of the painting by an electrostatic
process.
These two divisions are there to insure good delay and
quality through out the process of making the best product available.
